Well, we want to put you at ease. Your first visit to Clayton Valley Church will be refreshing, friendly, and enjoyable for your whole family. We want you to experience inspiring teaching and preaching, heartfelt praises sung unto God, friendly people, and a place where you feel welcome and "at home". You can't miss our campus at 5430 Michigan Boulevard one block east of Ygnacio Valley Road. As you pull into the driveway be sure to drive through the lower parking lot up to the upper parking lot. There you will find several parking spaces reserved for first time visitors just like you.

We gather together as a church family on Sunday mornings to taste and see that the Lord is good (Psalm 34:8). We hear His voice as His Word, the Bible, is opened and proclaimed. We lift our hearts to Him in songs of praise. We encourage one another and center our minds on the beauties of God’s salvation given to us in Jesus. During the 9:00 hour there are several spiritual growth classes. These classes are smaller group settings where you are invited to meet people, enjoy perhaps some coffee and refreshments, and dig into a portion of the Bible that pertains to a particular interest or life-stage. A wonderful way to get to know people at Clayton Valley Church is to visit one of these spiritual growth classes.

Where do I take my children?

Because we care about the safety of your children, you will need to complete a brief check-in process before you can take your child(ren) to class. You will find the CVC Kids Check-in station in the foyer of the Worship Center where a friendly volunteer will gladly take you through this simple process.

Sunday School 9:00 – 10:15AM

There is something special for every age child at Clayton Valley Church. Our nursery, staffed by friendly, well-trained volunteers, is for children up to two years of age. For children two years old through fifth grade there are fun, friendly, and Bible-centered classes. These classes are staffed with trained, friendly, and well-qualified teachers and helpers who will make church exciting and memorable for your child.

Children’s Church

In some churches the unwritten rule is that kids are to be seen but not heard. That will never be the case at Clayton Valley Church. We believe that kids learn the most about worshipping God from Mom and Dad and so encourage families to participate in corporate worship together. During the Sunday morning service at 10:30 children 4yrs old – 5th grade attend church with their parents for the initial portion of the service. At an appointed time early in our service (before the message), an announcement is made inviting children 4yrs old through 5th Grade to meet their Children’s Church teacher in the lobby. Their teachers escort them to class. Parents pick up their children from their respective classes at the conclusion of service.

If you are concerned about your kids making noise or “misbehaving” while together with adults in the morning worship service, let us put your mind at ease. We think kids need to be allowed to be kids. We welcome them and their noises because we see the value of teaching our children to worship the Lord together with the family of God.

How can I find my way around campus?

Our campus has a multi-level layout, which to a guest can seem confusing at first. It's not as complicated as it looks, and we would like to help you find the best spot for every person in your family. You can see a map of our campus by clicking here. Our greeters and ushers are located in the lobby of the main worship center and will gladly help direct and even escort you to the right place.

What about my teens?

Our youth ministry, known as Elevate Student Ministries, interacts with kids at two critical junctures of life: Jr High and High School. You can learn more about Elevate Student Ministries by clicking here.

How should I dress?

There is not a dress code at Clayton Valley Church for members or guests. But, just in case you're wondering how most people around here will be dressed, it's pretty broad. A lot of guys wear jeans and a polo or button up shirt. Ladies wear jeans, pants, skirts, and dresses.

Most importantly we look forward to seeing you, not what you're wearing.

Am I expected to participate in the offering?

No. We don't invite you to Clayton Valley Church for your offering. We hope you will find in this place truth from God's Word, the warmth of a family and a place where you can grow in God's grace. Please don't feel any obligation to participate in the offering as a guest.
